Bad Drug Lawyers

& Defective Product Attorneys

Drug manufacturers and medical device companies are often the cause of injury, illness or death for the patients that end up taking or using those drugs or devices. Unfortunately, the makers of these products are often aware or should have been aware of the unreasonable hazards posed by their products. At Pulaski & Middleman, P.L.L.C., our defective drugs lawyers and product recall attorneys are experienced in investigating and uncovering critical evidence when innocent victims are injured or killed by the medicines and medical devices they unknowingly trust.

Defective Product Lawsuits & Recalls

Risperdal - Risperdal has been linked to many serious side effects such as gynecomastia. Risperdal has been found to increase a hormone called prolactin which stimulates breast growth.

Lipitor - The FDA has warned that women who take Lipitor may have an increase in their risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The risk is greater for middle-aged women and older.

Morcellation & Uterine Cancer - The FDA has advised the women undergoing hysterectomies and other gynecological procedures may be at risk of uterine cancer.

Benicar Lawsuits - Benicar, a popular high blood pressure medication has been shown to cause severe gastrointestinal side effects, such as pain, excessive weight loss, nausea, vomiting, and chronic diarrhea.

Testosterone Therapy - The FDA is investigating a link between testosterone replacement therapies and heart attacks, strokes and other cardiovascular events.

Mirena IUD Complications - When the device migrates, it often causes tears through the wall of the uterus or becomes embedded within, requiring surgical removal. Women have had to go through risky surgical procedures to remove the device.

Vaginal Mesh Problems - The FDA has issued warnings that more than 1000 adverse event reports connected with these products have been received. Upwards of 15% of women involved in the study experienced a painful condition where the mesh protrudes through skin that has split open.

Depuy ASR Hip Implant - Depuy sold these products since 2005 advertising the ASR XL as a “high performance hip replacement”. Disappointingly, these products did not prove to work as the clinical study assured. A higher number of ASR patients than previously reported to Depuy needed a second revision surgery.

Modular-Neck Hip Stems - Stryker Orthopedics, maker of the Rejuvenate and ABG II modular-neck stems, voluntarily recalled their medical devices due to the risk of fretting and corrosion at the modular neck junction.
